Quote, nor is the "quoted quote " from the Nirvana Sutra a correct quote.


I smell a Nikken Sect Quote. You've been duped. Now Buddhism is
"internally endowed with Priests"???? and this is said to be the Daishonin
quoting from the Nirvana Sutra????

Not only is that illiterate it is just stupid, taking liberties with the
Gosho to that extreme. Give me a break. Nirvana Sutra never even uses the
term "priests," or "member" or "members of faith"??????---FOR CRYING OUT
LOUD

Just Monks, Arhats or Bodhisattvas

This "internally endowed" (as in Musa Sanjin) is a term that applies to the
Eternal Buddha condition within life--not a pack of priests trying to
monopolize Buddhism and keep people under their "Holy" thumbs.

No I have never noticed this quote, although it may have been "quoted" by
Jim or the Priests, prior. It is a flagrantly false translation done as
explained by Reggie, by a Priest. It does not appear in any prior
translation nor is it in any way accurate as to the meaning or proper
translation. Whether it is a GOOD translation of Nikken's Gosho or just a
poor translation into english I do not know.

Buddhism 101 says that the priesthood protects the teachings whilst the
laity protects the priesthood. Notice that Shijo Kingo protected Nichiren
Daishonin, a priest, who, in turn, protected the teachings.
