…[the Great Teacher Chih-che…urged that] anyone claiming that there is
a sutra superior to the Lotus should be admonished and made to see the
light; he said that if such a person persists in his false claim, his
tongue will surely fester in his mouth during his present existence,
and after his death he will fall into Avichi Hell.

Actually it is a fate born of life. You can only experience suffering
when you live, so the avichi hell is actually being born into
sufferring without rest.
